Happy memory

Hi guys!

This photograph was taken in 2021 at the school I graduated from, we were in the middle of a pandemic and I hadn't seen my friends in a long time.

The photo shows my best friends from school and me, we are wearing a mask because we were still in a pandemic context and we had to be careful about exposing ourselves. We were happy, because it was the first time we saw each other in over a year. 

We took a lot of photos that day, but this one is my favorite because I think it reflects how happy and comfortable we are with each other. 

It definitely reminds me of quarantine times, the truth is that it was not as unpleasant as at that moment I thought it would be. Although before this photo I had not seen any of them in person, every day we talked via video call on Discord, did homework together, and watched movies online. 

When i see this photo I can't help but think about how relaxed the days were before college life hit me hard.

Hi guys!

My name is Emilia Guzmán, I am currently studying the fourth semester of architecture, here at FAU. I really like drawing and creating new things, so I thought it would be the ideal career for me. Sometimes I think the pressure is too much, but I enjoy the creative process anyway.

I was born in Santiago, but then I moved and lived on the coast for many years, now I live here, again. My family members are my parents and my little brother (who is taller than me lately :c). We also have a dog, her name is Samai, who is very cute and friendly.

In my free time I like to ride a bike, draw, paint and take photographs. I also like to listen to music, these days I love listening to Björk, she is my favorite singer.

My previous experience with English was practically what I studied at school and some extra courses that I took in my free time before entering university. In any case, I am very interested in continuing to learn everything I can, because I think it is incredible to be able to break the language barrier to be able to communicate and live new experiences.
